Marc-Henry Degrott

DegrottMarc-Henri Degrott was born in Paris in 1952. Trained at the Duperré school and at the ENSBA in Paris, he worked as a dilettante for many years before deciding to make it his main activity. He develops an identifiable figurative painting. Each canvas reflects the atmosphere of a moment. He subtly combines work on light, immobility and movement. The entire work is the result of research, a pre-established composition and sensations captured in the moment. “It seems important to me to be as close as possible to one’s emotions when painting”, he likes to say.
