I have always been fascinated by the work of Pierre Auguste Renoir, the recurring theme of Femininity and Sensuality in his work and the way he depicts these themes through his use of light and shade. I am also a great fan of the sculpture of Constantin Brancusi. I love the way he synthesises form going right to the essential. I can sincerely say that, to this day, these two artists have been the major inspiration of my artistic style and helped me find my true artistic vocation.I have developed my own Graphic Art Style based on Femininity and Sensuality, my aim is to lead the spectator into a Universe where Beauty is presented as Hope in a world, which is more and more turned towards darkness. I want to draw the viewer into being overawed by the Visual. Through this continual research and pursuit of Beauty, my sensibility remains the sole instrument to conjure up and produce my works, either in painting or in sculpture or design. It is what guides each gesture, each choice, each intention in my work.
It is through the combined notions of, framing, harmony, manipulation of materials, and the synthesis of colours and form, that I have forged my figurative style, which becomes more and more personal and continues to evolve around the recurrent theme of Femininity and Sensuality. This obsession guides me to find my place in the vast world of Contemporary Art, and allows me to add my personal contribution to it.*
