Clowns are an integral part of this artist who conveys himself through the fun, red nosedand exuberant hair associated with clown. His joy of life and general philosophy of happiness can be seen in his portfolio. His subjects are painted in many kinds of postures, be it with a bottle in their hands or playing innocently and they are never sad! When painting galloping horses they are also ridden by clowns. Champale manages a lot of tenderness and emotion with each of his subjects allowing a warm, vibrant and humorous touch. The sun plays a major part in his work giving a sense of warmth. A jazzy environment, Venetian carnivals, beautiful women or a sunny café – each is encompassed in a unique view and style.Champale, born in 1948, devoted his youth to both photography and graphics before discovering his zeal for painting. For almost 20 years he has chosen to convey his imagination, passion and exuberance through canvas and now he’s offering to share it with us. A real pleasure!
